Statement of Accessibility and Inclusivity
WMRSASC is committed to building and maintaining a culture of diversity and equity for staff, volunteers and service users alike.
We will endeavour to recognise personal, cultural and operational bias and are committed to the principles of anti-discriminatory employment practice and recruitment, for both paid staff and volunteers, and to ensuring that anyone who comes into contact with our organisation is treated with respect and dignity.
We seek to ensure equity of accessibility to our services for all individuals. We will strive to meet individual needs and/or refer to appropriate specialist services wherever possible. We offer information, signposting and confidential listening over our helpline to anyone who has been affected by sexual violence, including friends, partners and relatives of survivors, male survivors, and workers and professionals from other agencies.
Integrity, empowerment and accountability remain at the core of our organisational values. WMRSASC’s Diversity Working Group seeks to promote awareness and challenge any forms of discrimination with these values at the forefront.
