Tackling Inappropriate and Problematic Sexual Behaviours (PSB)

Aim

Early Intervention and Prevention Services have been funded through the Safer Communities Fund to work with children and young people (CYP), families, and professionals across Herefordshire to tackle inappropriate and problematic sexual behaviours.

The project will focus on partnership working with schools, supporting CYP and their families who need ‘Level 2 early help’ and ‘team around family’ support. The project will collaboratively work with schools at the earliest opportunity to prevent/reduce incidents of inappropriate sexualised behaviour.

When incidents do occur, the project will work with the school, supporting them to complete the appropriate assessments and intervention to help prevent behaviours escalating and requiring targeted Early Help, social care, or criminal justice involvement.
